During this time of the Covid-19 pandemic, our goal is to give ALL students the skills needed to continue the learning process whether in-school or virtually.   One component of the preparedness effort is to implement ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT FRIDAYS BEGINNING ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 and CONTINUING EACH FRIDAY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Each Academic Achievement Friday, ALL students (Onsite and Virtual) will access google classroom on their device for that day’s lessons. Teachers will be on campus and available to meet, by appointment, with virtual students either on campus or via Zoom. Students can come to the building but will be distanced in large areas such as the cafeteria and gym and do the work on their device. They will not follow their daily schedule and physically move from class to class but remain 6’ apart while in one of the designated areas. Classified staff will monitor any students who choose to come to the building. This will give certified teachers some much needed time to check with virtual students who might be struggling.  Additional Friday events may include:  individual academic tutoring, assessments, health screenings, therapy services,  etc.. The due date for lessons posted on Friday will be Monday by 11:59pm -for all students- virtual and onsite- since on these Friday’s ALL students will be virtual learners for that day.

Academic Achievement Fridays are for grades Kindergarten - 12th grade.  Preschool will remain open due to not having a virtual option.

These Academic Achievement Fridays will give us an opportunity to practice virtual learning for all students in the event the school has to transition to an all virtual curriculum.
